 19 different London theatre programmes from the 1940's. Theatres include Saddlers Wells, The Playhouse, Garrick, Globe and others. Some with illustrated covers, most are just text and most have advertisements. One from 1944 has a notice inside that reads ' If an air raid warning is received during the performance the audience will be informed from the stage. Those desiring to leave may do so but the performance will continue. The nearest shelter is......'
